Before your scheduled installation, roofing materials and a dump trailer will be delivered to your home so everything is ready when our crew arrives.
Roofing materials are typically delivered a few days before installation. The dump trailer is usually placed in your driveway the evening before or the morning of your project. The trailer is used throughout the roof replacement to collect old shingles and roofing debris.
To help everything go smoothly, we recommend moving all vehicles out of the garage and driveway before the trailer arrives, as access may be limited until the project is complete.
Our Crew Arrives
Our crew arrives in the morning and begins preparing your property for installation. Ladders are set up, materials are organized, and protective measures are taken around your home before work begins.
Roof replacements are naturally noisy. Throughout the day you’ll likely hear footsteps on the roof, hammering, equipment, and vibrations inside your home. This is all a normal part of the installation process.
Removing the Existing Roof
The first step is removing your existing roofing system down to the roof decking beneath. Old shingles and debris are loaded directly into the dump trailer to keep your property as clean and organized as possible.
Once the roof is exposed, we carefully inspect the decking underneath. If any damaged or deteriorated wood is found, we’ll discuss the next steps with you before moving forward.
Installing Your New Roofing System
After the roof decking has been inspected, protective underlayment and waterproofing materials are installed to help safeguard your home from moisture.
Next, your new shingles are installed along with flashing, ridge caps, ventilation components, and the finishing details that complete your new roofing system. This is when homeowners really begin to see the transformation of their home.
Most residential roof replacements are completed in a single day, although larger or more complex projects may take longer.
Cleanup
Once installation is complete, our crew thoroughly cleans the work area. Roofing debris is loaded into the dump trailer, and magnetic rollers are used throughout the yard, driveway, and landscaping to collect loose nails.
Any remaining roofing materials are neatly stacked until they’re picked up after the project.
Final Walkthrough
After the installation is complete, we perform a final walkthrough to ensure everything meets our quality standards. Remaining materials are picked up, the property is checked one last time, and we’ll make sure you’re completely satisfied with the finished project.
