Modern New Construction Homes Are Changing Across O’Fallon
At Barringer Brothers Roofing, we’ve seen a huge increase in homeowners choosing modern vertical siding for new construction homes in O’Fallon IL.
The clean lines, bold contrast, and custom appearance make vertical siding one of the most popular exterior trends in the Metro East right now. Instead of the traditional all-horizontal look, many homeowners are mixing vertical and horizontal siding profiles to create a more modern exterior design.
Paired with black trim, white brick, and darker roofing colors, vertical siding gives homes a sharp, high-end appearance without feeling overly trendy.
Why Vertical Siding Has Become So Popular
One reason homeowners love vertical siding is because it immediately makes a home feel more custom.
At Barringer Brothers Roofing, we often see homeowners choose vertical siding because:
- It creates a cleaner modern appearance
- Homes appear taller and more dramatic
- It pairs well with black roofing and trim
- It adds visual contrast to front elevations
- It stands out in newer subdivisions
This style works especially well on modern farmhouse, contemporary, and custom home designs that are becoming more common throughout O’Fallon and surrounding Metro East communities.
New Construction Homes Need More Than Just Good Looks
Curb appeal matters, but siding also has to survive Illinois weather.
Homes in O’Fallon deal with:
- Hail storms
- Heavy rain
- Strong winds
- Humidity
- Freeze-thaw cycles
- Hot summers and cold winters
That’s why proper installation matters just as much as choosing the right siding color or style.
At Barringer Brothers Roofing, we install siding systems designed to handle Midwest weather while still delivering the modern look homeowners want. Proper flashing, trim work, moisture protection, and ventilation all play a major role in long-term performance.
Black and Dark Siding Continues To Trend
One trend we continue seeing at Barringer Brothers Roofing is the popularity of darker siding colors.
Some of the most requested combinations include:
- Black vertical siding with white brick
- Charcoal gray siding with cedar accents
- White siding with black trim
- Mixed vertical and horizontal siding styles
- Dark siding with black soffit and fascia
These combinations create a bold exterior while still keeping the design timeless enough to age well.
Choosing the Right Siding Contractor Matters
Modern siding systems require attention to detail. Poor installation can lead to moisture problems, loose panels, or premature wear over time.
At Barringer Brothers Roofing, we help homeowners throughout O’Fallon IL choose siding options that fit both the style of the home and the long-term durability needed for Illinois weather.
Whether it’s a full new construction project or an exterior remodel, our team focuses on clean installation, quality materials, and designs that improve curb appeal for years to come.
