Proudly Serving Highland, IL

Barringer Brothers Roofing is proud to serve homeowners right here in Highland — one of Madison County’s most family-friendly and tightly knit communities. From the brick ranch homes and lakefront properties near the city’s established neighborhoods to newer custom builds in subdivisions like Wendell Creek Estates, Highland has a housing mix that keeps local roofers busy year-round.

Highland sits further east than most of our service area, which means it catches its share of severe Midwest weather — hail, high winds, and heavy spring storms are regular occurrences here. Additionally, the older homes near Highland Square and along the city’s tree-lined streets have roofing systems that carry real age on them. That combination of weather exposure and older housing stock is exactly why having a dependable roofer in your corner matters.

Roof Inspections in Highland, IL

Highland’s older neighborhoods — particularly those near downtown and Highland Square — have homes with roofing systems that have been in place for decades. Regular inspections are the most reliable way to stay ahead of problems before they turn into expensive repairs.

Our Highland inspections are thorough, honest, and completely pressure-free. We check shingles, flashing, ventilation, decking, and drainage, then give you a plain-language summary of what we found. As a result, you’ll know exactly where your roof stands and what, if anything, needs attention. Inspections are especially smart after storm season, before buying or selling a home, or simply as part of keeping an older property well-maintained.

What We Check During Every Inspection

Shingle condition and wear
Flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights
Roof ventilation and decking
Gutters and drainage
Signs of storm or hail damage

Roof Repairs & Storm Damage Repair in Highland, IL

Highland’s location in eastern Madison County puts it directly in the path of storm systems that track across southern Illinois — and those storms bring real roof damage with them. Hail, high winds, and heavy rain are common, and even minor damage can escalate quickly if it isn’t addressed promptly.

For example, a cracked shingle or lifted flashing after a storm can allow water into your decking within days. Because of this, we encourage Highland homeowners not to wait after a significant weather event. We respond quickly, assess damage honestly, and get repairs done right — whether your home is near Korte Recreation Center, along one of the city’s quiet residential streets, or further out on the city’s edges.

Common Repairs We Handle in Highland

Roof leak detection and repair
Shingle replacement after wind or hail damage
Flashing repair around chimneys and vents
Emergency repairs after severe weather
Storm and hail damage restoration

Roof Replacement in Highland, IL

When your roof has reached the end of its useful life — or when storm damage is too widespread to repair economically — a full replacement is the right investment. We help Highland homeowners choose roofing systems that stand up to Midwest weather, complement their home’s style, and deliver long-term value.

Furthermore, in a community where homeowners tend to stay put and take pride in their properties, a quality roof replacement is one of the most impactful improvements you can make. Whether you’re on a classic street near the historic downtown or in a newer subdivision off Highway 143, we’ll do the job cleanly and correctly.

New Construction Roofing in Highland, IL

New construction continues in Highland, with custom homes and subdivisions like Wendell Creek Estates attracting buyers who want a rural feel with convenient I-70 access. We work closely with homeowners and local builders throughout the area to install roofing systems that are code-compliant, properly detailed, and built to last. We coordinate around your project timeline so roofing never becomes a bottleneck.

Gutter Installation & Replacement in Highland, IL

Highland’s tree-lined streets are part of what makes the city so appealing — however, mature trees mean gutters take a heavy load each fall. A clogged or failing gutter system quietly backs water up against your roof edge and foundation long before the damage becomes obvious inside. If your gutters are sagging, pulling away, or simply overdue for replacement, we can install a properly sized system that handles Illinois rainfall efficiently and protects your home year-round.

Siding Installation in Highland, IL

New siding improves both how your home looks and how well it performs against Illinois weather. This is especially true for Highland’s older brick-and-siding homes, where original exterior materials are often ready for an upgrade. Barringer Brothers installs durable, low-maintenance siding throughout Highland that improves energy efficiency, weather resistance, and curb appeal — all in one project.
